Julie wants to find out how much water was used when taking a bath and when taking a shower. Julie found the dimensions of the tub filled with enough water to take a bath was 48 inches x 38 inches x 16 inches and that the shower uses 8.25 gallons per minute. Julie figures a shower takes on average 27 minutes. How much water does she use to take a bath. How much water does she use too take a shower.

figure inches^3 of the tub:
48*38*16=.....
now, because there are 231 inches^3 per gallon, divide the above by 231..that is the gallons in the tub.
for shower
gallons=rate*minutes
She takes much too long of a shower, in My opinion.
