how long does it take to get from 100 to 30?
v = vi + a t
30 = 100 - 4 t
4 t = 70
t = 17.5 s
how far did we go?
average speed = 130/2 = 65
65*17.5 = 1137.5 ft
how far did the freight go?
30 * 17.5 = 525
525 + 600 = 1125 ft
