i am in 3rd grade and we are learning about equations. I was not in class when she went over the steps. I need help.
y+3=6X2

What are you supposed to do with that? Is X2 supposed to be x^2 (x squared)?

Equations are usually not taught in third grade

I assume the equation means y + 3 = 6 x 2 = 12,
in which case y = 9

Not sure. example she gave was n-2=4+2
the answer is n=8 but i have to write it out on how i got the answer i have to check my answer

how about b+9=8+7 would it be b=6 since 8+7=15

b + 9 = 15
b = 6

n - 2 = 6
n = 8
