If it were possible for a sound in air to travel around the world , it would have to travel in multlple paths, as no straight path exists. Assuming the paths available made the distance twice the circumference of the Earth, then
time= 2*24,000miles/.2mile/sec
= 48000/.2 seconds= about 240,000 seconds or about 240000/3600 hours= 67 hours.
