Here is my problem. Please walk me through how you got to the answer.
Three-fourths of a number equals 3 times the number increased by 9.
Is this the correct equation?
3/4n = 3n + 9
Here's another. In this one, does "is" mean "equals"?
One-fourth of a number is one-half more than sixth-eights of the number.
Is this correct?
1/4n = 1/2 + 6/8n
Thank you so much! Any help is appreciated!
