Question
How do write a skeleton equation for this reaction?
When heated, baking soda (sodium hydrogen carbonate) decomposes to form the products sodium carbonate, carbon dioxide, and water.
Can someone please break it down so i can see how you got that ansewer? Thanks in advance
NaHCO3 ==> Na2CO3 + H2O + CO2
Some like to do this in two steps.
NaHCO3 ==> Na2CO3 + H2CO3
H2CO3 ==> H2O + CO2
