"made" is not a linking verb. Sammy did something, so it is an active verb.

This should help you. Keep in mind that a linking verb simply links a noun to a phrase or word that describes it. It involves no action, as in Sammy making lunch or someone driving to a destination or chopping down a tree, etc.
