same as with any other distributive property problem:
with:
6(1/2+2/3+3/4)
6(1/2) + 6(2/3) + 6(3/4)
3 + 4 + 4 1/2
11 1/2
without:
6(1/2+2/3+3/4)
6(6/12 + 8/12 + 9/12)
6(21/12)
21/2
11 1/2
with:
6(1/2+2/3+3/4)
6(1/2) + 6(2/3) + 6(3/4)
3 + 4 + 4 1/2
11 1/2
without:
6(1/2+2/3+3/4)
6(6/12 + 8/12 + 9/12)
6(21/12)
21/2
11 1/2
