(90 / c) + [130 / (c + 20)] = 4
90 c + 180 + 130 c = 4 c^2 + 80 c
c^2 - 35 c - 45 = 0
use quadratic formula to find c
90 c + 180 + 130 c = 4 c^2 + 80 c
c^2 - 35 c - 45 = 0
use quadratic formula to find c

typo error in 90 c + 180 + 130 c = 4 c^2 + 80 c
should be : 90 c + 1800 + 130 c = 4 c^2 + 80 c
---> c^2 - 35c - 450 = 0
(c - 45)(c + 10) = 0
c = 45 or a negative
city speed was 45 mph
should be : 90 c + 1800 + 130 c = 4 c^2 + 80 c
---> c^2 - 35c - 450 = 0
(c - 45)(c + 10) = 0
c = 45 or a negative
city speed was 45 mph
