OK, even though have always been told that we can't add apples and oranges, .....
let the amount of apples be x lbs
amount of oranges ----- (52 - x) lbs
5.25x + 3.8(52-x) = 4.25(52)
5.25x + 197.6 - 3.8x = 221
1.45x = 23.4
x = 16.1 lbs of apples and 35.9 lbs of oranges
appr 31% apples and 69% oranges
