Situation: You exercised 24 hours each month for a year. How many hours did you exercise by the end of the year? You may be able to do the math mentally thanks to expanded notation and the Distributive Property

How would I put this into distributive property??

where does the 10 come from??
Answered by Nunia
10 plus 2 equals 12, so you separate the 12 in to 10 and 2 using distributive property.

Conexus students, if your doing a math portfolio, for one, i hope you get an a, and for two, (10 * 24) + (2 * 24)= (240)+(48)= (288)

does it have to be 10 and 2 or can it be 6 and 6? Is there a specific reason for 10 and 2?

Third one
With distribution
12(12+12)=
144+144=
288

Without distribution
12(12+12)=
12(24)=
288

the first one...
W dist
0.2 (2.50 + 4.95 + 6.00) =
0.2 * 2.50 + 0.2 * 4.95 + 0.2 * 6.00 =
1.345 + 1.345 =
2.69

W/o dist
0.2 (2.50 + 4.95 + 6.00)=
0.2 (13.45)=
2.69

The second
W dist
.06 (2.50 + 8.75 + 3.00 + 10.25)=
.06 * 2.50 + 06 * 8.75 + 06 * 3.00 + 06 * 10.25 =
0.735 + 0.735=
1.47

W/o dist
.06 (2.50 + 8.75 + 3.00 + 10.25) =
.06 (24.50)=
1.47

Hope this helps that's as far as I've reached sorry it's out of order to but I'm trying to do this rn too so I'm in a rush😂😭😅
