Assuming that the goal here is to just solve for each variable, this goes back to basic algebra and it's highly suggested that you refer to your notes.
Regardless,
SOLVING FOR Z
ORIGINAL EQUATION: (z / 12) = 9
(1/12) * z = 9 //A variable divided by anything can be replaced by a one and the variable moved out of the fraction.
z = 9 * 12 //We transfer the "1/12" to the other side of the equation by multiplying both sides by the reciprocal.
z = 108 //Simple multiplication.
SOLVING FOR G
ORIGINAL EQUATION: 5 x g = 230
g = (230 / 5) //We undo multiplication by dividing both sides by five.
g = 46 //SImple division.
Regardless,
SOLVING FOR Z
ORIGINAL EQUATION: (z / 12) = 9
(1/12) * z = 9 //A variable divided by anything can be replaced by a one and the variable moved out of the fraction.
z = 9 * 12 //We transfer the "1/12" to the other side of the equation by multiplying both sides by the reciprocal.
z = 108 //Simple multiplication.
SOLVING FOR G
ORIGINAL EQUATION: 5 x g = 230
g = (230 / 5) //We undo multiplication by dividing both sides by five.
g = 46 //SImple division.

I got you Connexus kids. The answer for 5xg=230 is 46. You can say you got this answer by dividing 230 by 5 to get 46. 46=g. For z÷12=9 the answer is 108. you cansay you got this answer by multiplying 12 and 9 to get 108. 108=z. I hope I helped you guys.
