percentages :/ I believe you have to calculate that 8 is 100 and 6 is unknown so
8=100
6=x
what times 8 gets you too 100? 12.5, so multiply
6*12.5=75
therefore Percent decrease=75%
realize I am a seventh grader and practicing my math and by this it would seem you are a seventh grader too. I hope this helped, if you need anymore Just post here. i'll bookmark this.

Keep practicing your math, Madeline. Your answer is wrong.
8 - 6 = 2
2/8 = 1/4 = 25%
8 - 6 = 2
2/8 = 1/4 = 25%

BOTH of you. Thanks.
25% would be what is left after 75%?
75% + 25% = 100
Correct?

The decrease in her mile time is 25%. 75% has nothing to do with it.
