I can't figure out how to simplify this:
3x/2 + 3 - x
3x/2 + 3 - x

You need to group the like terms together.
So 3x/2-x+3
which is
x/2+3
[because 3x/2-x=(3x-2x)/2]
if you want it over the same demoninator then
(x+6)/2
So 3x/2-x+3
which is
x/2+3
[because 3x/2-x=(3x-2x)/2]
if you want it over the same demoninator then
(x+6)/2
