let's get rid of all the - signs
sin(x) tan(x) + cos(x) = sec x
sin^2x/cosx + cosx = secx
(sin^2x + cos^2x)/cosx = secx
now what do you think?

sin(x) tan(x) + cos(x) = sec x
sin^2x/cosx + cosx = secx
(sin^2x + cos^2x)/cosx = secx
now what do you think?
