Asked by Matt-Please Help
A punch recipe says to mix 4 cups of pineapple juice, 8 cups orange juice, and 12 cups of seltzer in order to make 18 servings of punch.
Question Part A:
How many cups of each ingredient do you need to make 108 cups of punch?
_____ cups of pineapple juice
_____ cups of orange juice
_____ cups seltzer
I know to add 4 + 8 +12=24 cups of juice
Then I know to take 108/24=4.5
Then I know to multiply 4.5x4 cups of pineapple juice=18 cups of pineapple juice
4.5x8 cups of orange juice=36 cups of orange juice
4.5x12 cups of seltzer=54 cups of seltzer
Part B Question:
How many servings can be made from 108 cups of punch?
24 cups of juice makes 18 servings
My answer: 24/18=4/3 cups per serving
Part C Question:
For every cup of seltzer you use, how much orange juice do you use?
I am stuck on part C and can't figure this out.
Can you help me please and double check my other answers.
Thank you

8 orange/12 selzer
or 2/3
divide each part of the fraction by 3 to get per 1 cup of selzer.
2/3 over 3/3
or 2/3 for 1.

For Matt - Please Help, for part C the answer is 2/3 , Because you just need to make 8 and 12 into a fraction then just divide by 4 . Part B is 81 servings.
