12x11 =132 sq. ft

24 inches = 2 feet

tiles are 4 sq. ft.

132/4 = number of tiles you will need.

since the tiles are 2 ft by 2 ft, and the room is 11 ft along one side, you will need 6 tiles along that side, with the last one to be cut
along the 12 ft length, 6 tiles will fit,
so you will need 36 tiles.
