An open box with square bases is to be made out of a given quantity of cardboard of area Csquare. show that the maximum volume of box is ccube/6√3cubic unit

maximum volume is achieved when the box is a cube.

The area of the box is c^2, so each face has area c^2/6

That means the side has length c/√6.

v = (c/√6)^3 = c^3/(6√6)

Hmmm. Better double-check my math.
