7/12 = x/360

Cross multiply and solve for x.

360 is the total of the trees

number of oak trees --- 5x
number of mapes ------ 7x
5x+7x = 360
12x = 360
x = 30

number of maples = 7x = 7(30) = 210

(oaks would be 150, for a total of 360 )
