You have a Spanish club meeting every fourth day and a math club meeting every tenth day. When is the first time they will meet on the same day?

My Answer:
4 + 10=14 they would meet on the 14th day

Would that be the correct answer? I am confused.

No.

Today is Tuesday. Suppose the Spanish and math clubs both meet today.

Four days from now, Saturday, the Spanish club will meet again.

Ten days from now, Friday, the math club will meet again.

Your method doesn't work, does it?

You need to find the least common multiple of 4 and 10.

4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32
10, 20, 30, 40

The least common multiple is 20 so 20 would be the answer.

Jada plans to serve milk and healthy cookies for a book club meeting. She is preparing 12 ounces of milk and 4 cookies per person. Including herself, there are 15 people in the club. A package of cookies contains 24 cookies and costs $ 4.50.
