Greg is 16 years older than his sister Barbra. In 13 years , he will be twice as old as Barbra. How old is each of them now ?

g = b+16
g+13 = 2(b+13)

now just solve for g and b.

Sol: x+16+13 = 2x+26
x+29 = 2x+26
29-26 = 2x-x
3 = x barbara
3+16 = 19 greg
