Mandy has to pay for her gas when she goes out with friends. She receives an allowance of $25 per week. Mandy fills her 16 gallon car up twice a month with gas currently costing $2.11 per gallon. After filling her car up twice a month, how much does Mandy have left over to spend on activities with her friends?
Write an equatin that satisifies this
y=(25-4)-2.11(16 x 2)
How much money will she have left at the end of the month after filling her car's gas tank? (assuming the month had 4 weeks)
$32.48

cost of 1 fillup = 16(2.11) = $33.76
monthly cost = 2(33.76) = $67.52
monthly allowance = 4(25) = $100
left over = 100 - 67.52
= $32.48
your answer is right
monthly cost = 2(33.76) = $67.52
monthly allowance = 4(25) = $100
left over = 100 - 67.52
= $32.48
your answer is right
