Asked by Matt

I usually have big problems with word problems but here it goes:

On his twelfth birthday, Ben was 4 3/4 feet tall. On his thirteenth birthday, Ben was 5 3/8 feet tall. How much did Ben grow between his twelfth and thirteenth birthdays?
5 3/8-4 3/4=3 feet

Can you please tell me if I did this correctly and if not please explain to me how to do this.
