Asked by Matt

Jason wants to use his earnings from Monday and Tuesday for online movie rentals. The movies cost $2.96 each to rent. How many movies can Jason rent?

Jason sells can's to a recycling center that pays $0.40 per pound of cans.

Jasons cans (pounds)
Monday 11.5
Tuesday 10.7

So add 11.5 and 10.7 which comes out to 22.2/2.96=7.5

Would the above be correct?

No. You forgot to multiply the number of pounds by the price -- $0.40
Answered by Matt
So then I would do 7.5 x $0.40 is that correct?
