A farmer uses 11/18 of his field to grow rice and 3/7 of remaning field for growing tomatoes of the area thus left he uses 1/4 of his to grow spanich and the rest to grow sweet potatoes What fraction of field is used to grow sweet potatoes??

tomatoes: 3/7 * 7/18 = 1/6
spinach: 1/4 * 2/9 = 1/18
1 - 11/18 - 3/18 - 1/18 = 3/18
so, 1/6 of the field is yams

we have biggest denominator 18 so we make 18 blocks
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18
now we have nominators 11,3 and 1 and we will take first 11 blocks as 11/18
then take next three blocks as 3/18
then take next one block as 1/18
if we add nominators then these are 15 and we have total 18 blocks so we are using 15 blocks and 3 are left so,
take 3/18 =1/6 is required ans
