I am trying to rationalize a denominator and it is a squre root, like this : squre root of x+1 , i don't know what to do ,cause it isn't just a number it is the whole expression. plz help

let's assume you have
1/√(x+1)
multiply top and bottom by √(x+1)
1/√(x+1) * √(x+1)/√(x+1)
= √(x+1)/(x+1)
