Is the sentence '0 is called as additive identity' correct? Is the usage of 'as' correct or should it not be used?

The sentence should read like this:

Zero is called an additive identity.

1. In English, sentences are not to begin with numbers, but with words.
2. The word "as" should be "an" here.
