2+3+1=6 therefore science=(2/6)*8=2.67 and math=(3/6)*8=4 hours

let the times for the 3 subjects be 2x, 3x and x hrs each
2x+3x+x = 8
6x=8
x = 4/3
science : 2(4/3) = 8/3 hrs or 2 hrs and 40 minutes
Math : 3(4/3) = 4 hours
Lit : 4/3 hrs or 1 hour and 20 minutes
check: 2:40 + 4:00 + 1:20 = 6:00
2x+3x+x = 8
6x=8
x = 4/3
science : 2(4/3) = 8/3 hrs or 2 hrs and 40 minutes
Math : 3(4/3) = 4 hours
Lit : 4/3 hrs or 1 hour and 20 minutes
check: 2:40 + 4:00 + 1:20 = 6:00
