You would need to change centimeters to inches first.
1 inch = 2.5 cm
If you are buying cardboard to make the box, would you want to use the surface area instead of the volume?
divide the amount by 2.5 to get inches then multiply times .05 to get the cost.
I am assuming your surface area is measured in square cm and the volume is measured in cubic inches. Right?
What Formula would I use to calculate how much my cardboard box with a surface area of 1578cm and a volume of 3078 cm would cost if cardboard was $0.05 per square inch.

This is how I have worded it. Is this right?
Conversion factor 1inch = 2.5 cm
I will divide the surface area by 2.5 to get how many inches.
1578 / 2.5 = 631.2
I will then multiply 631.2 by .5 to see how much it would cost to make a regular cereal box.
631.2 · .5 = 315.6
To Manufacture a regular sized cereal box it would take $31.06.
