For any two linear functions f(x)=ax+b and g(x)=cx+d, is f o g the same as g o f?

1 answer

Try it and see

f o g = f((g(x)) = a(cx +d)+b

g o f = g(f(x)) = c(ax + b) +d

Simplify.. it doesn't look like they are the same.
