Question

Hi, just a short question. How do i find the x intercepts for the equation y=-2x^3+1 ?
I tried to let y equal zero but i could only get as far as x^3=1/2
please help!

x^3 = 1/2 is correct. There is only ine x-intercept. It is where x = (1/2)^(1/3) which means the cube root of 1/2.
x = 0.7937

thank you soooooooo much!
