I'm trying to help my nephew with some homework and am hopeless. Please help with these questions:
If 180 calories of heat were added to 50 grams of copper, what would the change in temperature be? (specific heat of copper = .09)
What would the temperature of the copper be if it were 50 degrees C before the heat was added?
calories of heat=masscopper*specificheat*changeintemperature.
solve for the change in temperature. To get final temp, add the starting temp 50C to it.
