Rob had a pitcher containing 2 liters of lemonade. He poured an equal amount of lemonade into 14 glasses. How much lemonade was left over in the pitcher?
14/2000=142 r 12

almost, you are showing the division the wrong way

2 L = 2000 ml

2000 ml/14 glasses = 142 6/7 ml per glass

that means 142 ml will be in each glass (the equal amount part of the question)
with 6/7 of the divisor of 14 left over

check:
so each glass would contain 142 ml
which takes care of 14(142) or 1988 ml,
leaving 12 ml left over
