World war one was a war from 1914 to 1918, it is also know as the Great War and War of the Nations. It involved many countries such as Great Britain, France, Russia, Belgium, Italy, Japan, the United States, and other allies defeated Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Bulgaria. When it comes to World war one everyone has different opinions about the initial cause of the War of the Nations. Some say because of the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary this all took place. On the other hand people argue that assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand was the last straw. The war would have happened anyway; sooner or later. The question still remains was the initial cause of the war because of the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand or was it just a trigger?

Thank you!

World war one<~~capital letters on W and W and O was a war<~~to avoid repetition, change "a war" to "fought" from 1914 to 1918,<~~run-on; needs to be TWO sentences here it is also know<~~known as the Great War and War of the Nations. It involved many countries<~~add comma such as Great Britain, France, Russia, Belgium, Italy, Japan, the United States, and other allies who defeated Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey, and Bulgaria. When it comes to World war one<~~capital letters needed; also add comma everyone has different opinions about the initial cause of the War of the Nations<~~delete "of the War of the Nations" -- redundant. Some say because of the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary this all took place.<~~very awkward sentence; move "this all took place" to just after "Some say" On the other hand<~~add comma people argue that <~~add "the" assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand was the last straw. The war would have happened anyway;<~~delete "anyway;" sooner or later. The question still remains<~~add colon; capitalize W~~> was the initial cause of the war because of the assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand<~~add comma or was it<~~to what is "it" referring? just a trigger?

=)

World War One (l914-18) was known as the Great War and the War of the Nations. In involved many countries: Great Britian, France, Russia, Belgiumj, Italy, Japan, the United States and other allies who joined to defeat Germany, Austria-Hungary, Turkey and Bulgaria. The assassination of Archduke Francis Ferdinand was the trigger which began the fighting, However, there were many previous actions which were the actual cause.

The most fundamental cause in my opinion was that that most of the countries had scores to settle, thought they could settle them, and thought they could win. The tangle of alliances involved made it easier for the war to get big fast.

I cant thank you enough! as well thanks GuruBlue and bobpursley. I owe you guys one!
