Question

What are some hypotheses that have been proposed for the mass extinctions throughout geologic time? Please refer to a specific time period and the organisms which became extinct.

I was thinking:
The end Triassic mass extinction is estimated to have claimed about half of all marine invertebrates. Around 80% of all land quadrupeds also went extinct.

But I don't know if that answered the question :/
