There is a school of 1,200 pupils. 3/5 of them are girls.

A. What fractions are boys?
B. How many pupils are girls?
C. How many pupils are boys?

I have no idea how to solve this. If someone could give me a method it would be really helpful

5/5 - 3/5 = ______ are boys

(3/5) * 1200 = ______ are girls

first find how much 1/5 of 1200 is.
1200 divided by 5 = 240. 240*3 ( * means multiply) = 720

720 pupils are girls.
1200 - 720 = 480.
480 pupils are girls.
480 divided by 240 = 2.

2/5 of the pupils are boys.
