Dan wants to pour a concrete patio in his backyard. He measures the length, width, and thickness of the patio and finds that the amount of concrete he needs is 200ft^2. When he called the concrete company they asked him how many cubic yards of concrete does he need.
200ft^*144n^2/1ft^2

Please check for typos !!
If you used length, width and thickness you probably mean ft^3 not ft^2.
That messed you up big time when you wrote 144 which is square inches per square foot.
What you want is CUBIC feet per CUBIC yard
which is 3^3 = 27 ft^3/yd^3
( despite the fact that contractors simply say "yards" they mean "cubic yards" :)
200 ft^3 * 1 yd^3/27 ft^3 = 7.4 yds^3
so order 8
