What is the mass of .52 moles of water. Subtract that from 14.1g . How many moles of zinc sulphate is that.
Now you know how many moles of water you have to xxxx moles of zinc sulfate, what is the ratio? That is the coefficent of the water.
the mass of 0.52 moles of water is 9.3g...so that would be..9.3-0.52=8.78.I don't get it after that
4.8 sorry ...
ok, how many moles of zinc sulfate is 4.8 grams.

Then divide that number of moles of zinc sulfate INTO the moles of water, that give you the coefficent of the water in the hydrated molecule.
14.1g ZnSO4.xH2O
after heating mass formed is 4.4g or 0.03mole
after heating mass driven off is 9.3g or 0.52 mole

you said take the mass of 0.52 mole of water(9.3g) and subtract it from 14.1g that will give 4.8g....

after that im lost
is the answer 17..
yes, according to your data. I suspect something was not right with it.
thank u..i will definitely come back on this site!!!
