the sum of 2 numbers is 83. three times the smaller number is subtracted from the larger number is 19.
how do i set this problem up?
larger x
smaller y

x+y = 83

x - 3y = 19
subtract them:
4y = 64
y = 16 , then
x = 67

larger is 67, the smaller is 16
