A car is travelling at a speed of 30.0m/s encounters an emergency and comes to a complete stop. How much time will it take for the car to stop at -4.0m/s^2

a = -4 m/s^2
v = -4t + k
when t = 0, v = 3-
thus k = 30

v = -4t + 30
when the vehicle stops, v = 0
0 = -4t + 30
4t = 30
t = 30/4 or 7.5 seconds
