A mixture of peanuts and walnuts sells for $3 per pound. How many pounds of peanuts at $1.50 per pound should be mixed with 12 pounds of walnuts at $4 per pound

x(1.5) + 12(4) = (x+12) * 3

1.5 x = 12
x = 8
