you need to use ( ). I don't know what is in the sqrt.
Solve this by getting the sqrt( ) on one side, constants on other side, then square both sides.

4(x-2+2)=x+3
4x = x + 3
3x = 3
x = 1
4x = x + 3
3x = 3
x = 1
