Your "identity" makes no sense
I will work on the RS to see where that goes

RS = 1 - 8sin^2 x(1 - sin^2 x)
= sin^2 x + cos^2 x - 8sin^2 xcos^2 x
= going nowhere, unless I have something to aim for
