How can I use bar diagrams to divide unit fractions by whole numbers

I would draw the bar representing a unit fraction. then, divide it into equal pieces representing the whole number. Now measure the pieces of the bar to see how long they are compared to the original.
bar say is 1/3 long
then divide it into two equal pieces, measure them, they will be half of 1/3 and measure 1/6 long.

1/3 times 1/2 is 1/6 because the two turns into a fraction that is 1/2.

Hello i think to draw a model to represent the whole number and slice them into to 4s or 6s and put braces under it represent the unit fraction ? I said i think so dont get to cocky with me !!!
