original fraction --- x/y
new fractions ------- 1.6x/.8y = 2x/y

it increased by 100%

e.g.
suppose the fraction was 5/8
new fraction = 1.6(5)/(.8(8))
= 8/6.4
= 80/64
= 10/8 ---> twice the 5/8

lets say the fraction is x/y x decreased by 20% and y decreased by 60%
so the next product is 0.8x/0.4y = 2 x/y = 200%-100% =100. so it increases by 100%
