equation 1.5(8x)=300
It tells me to simplify the left side of the equation and solve.

i think you would do 1.5 time 8x

1.5(8x)=300

Multiply: 1.5 * 8x = 12x

12x = 300
x = ??

divide both sides by 1.5 and you get 8x=200 then divide by 8 on both sides.
