A scale drawing is a parallelogram with a base of 8 inches, a height of 3 inches, and a side length of 4 inches. What is the perimeter and area?
Perimeter 3x4x8 = 96 inches
Area 8x3 = 24 inches
Can this be correct? Sounds too easy. If it is correct, what if scale factor is 4:1, then that would change the perimeter and area, but I don't know how to figure that.

Mimi,
These two formulas will be helpful:
P = 2(a+b), where "a" is the side length, and "b" is the base.
Area= (b)(h)
So for perimeter, 2(4+8)= 24 in. add first then multiply.
Area= 8(3) = 24 in^2
