Trying to help son w/math. Mom needs help please! translate the statement. (The product of a number increased by 10 and 4 is 22)

(x+10)(4) = 22
4x + 40 = 22

4x = 22-40
x = -4.5

check
the number increased by 10 is -4.5+10 = 5.5

and 4x5.5 = 22
