Draw a line with 3 distinct pints on it. Label each with a different letter. How many different rays can you name using only the three given points?

I'm guessing 4 but idk if it's two... can someone please explain?

well, just list them. If the points are A,B,C left-to-right, then you have 6 ways to pair them up:

AB
BA
AC
CA
BC
CB

But the ray going right from A passes through both B and C, so
AB and AC are the same ray.

Similarly, CB and CA are the same ray.

BA and BC point in opposite directions.

So, your guess is correct.
