A) tan^2x + 3 tax -4 = 0

B) 2sin^2x - sinx-1 = 0

These are just quadratic equations. You can factor them as follows:

(tanx + 4)(tanx - 1) = 0
(2sinx + 1)(sinx - 1) = 0
